prob not letting shift arm all the way down happens when I have a certain pair of boots on that are a little bigger have to concentrate on letting shift return
That makes sense to me, that would account why when I'm speed shifting it happens more often......can you say.....to quick on the trigger......LOL
I am using the formula+ stuff. It has happened in 35000 miles maybe half dozen times generally it was winding her up when it happens .either the linkage or pressure on it maybe.
Most likely operator related. Try slowing down your shifting. Lift the shifter and hold it up while you let the clutch out. Then be shure that you are letting the shifter return completly and not holding it up a little between shifts. If it still acts up bring it to the dealer for adjustment.

Sort of happens to me too - every once in a while it will almost grind, but then I notice I didn't pull the clutch all the way in and/or shifted too fast. If I make deliberate clutch pulls and shifts, it works as advertised about 99% of the time. You figured I'd have learned to shift after 30 years in the saddle...it's those early days on motorcross bikes that did it - yeah, yeah, that's the ticket!
