have a 2006 wide glide, does this happen to anyone else when im going along and i pull in the clutch and go to shift to 3rd every once in a while nothing happens i have to release the clutch and do it again, like theres nothing there

It happens to me on occassion... Sometimes she shifts soft as hell and sometimes she shifts likea sledge....sometimes i'll miss second and it'll sit in neutral
i'm certain it's all normal, though
i'm gonna change out to synthetic in a few weeks i think...maybe that'll balance things a bit

Got an 01 WG.....I find that it happens occasionally......what I have figured out, it happens when I get just a little lazy with snapping it up into gear. I also have had it happen when I'm speed shifting.
I'd say its normal, as I have over 60+K miles on my scoot. More of an operator problem vs. a mechanical problem.

prob not letting shift arm all the way down happens when I have a certain pair of boots on that are a little bigger have to concentrate on letting shift return
