I removed all the badges from my Black Denim Fat Bob. Was very easy... just used a hair dryer and slowly pulled them off. No marks on the tank whatsoever.
As for the reflectors, I did have to use a bit of Goo Gone on the fender strut covers to get off the residue after pulling them off. I wouldn't use it on the paint though.
I took mine off about a week after getting it home. I waited until it was a hot day (90sF) and let the bike set in the sun for about an hour. I used a plastic butter knife for the reflectors, but used only my fingers for the tank badges. Cleaned it up with windex, left no marrs, no scratches. Those SB badges look nice on a car tailgate, and I saw a set of them go for 55 bucks on eBay this week.
Thanks for all the help. I used the hairdryer and plastic puddy knife wrapped in a t-shirt trick- worked great! I did have to use a little goo-gone on the rear reflectors, but had no issues affecting the paint whatsoever. Tank emblems just peeled right off, leaving no sticky-stuff behind at all - easy as pie. Thanks again.
Thanks for the info all. I just heated the envelope openers on my denim black fat bob and used some dental floss. Pealed right off with only a bit of residue. Was able to peel that off with my thumb. No damage to the paint.
