Default 2008 fxdc forward controls
I want to put HD forward controls on my 2008 fxdcand leave stock shaft and linkage alone so i can easly convert back to stock mid controls.Should i purchase the 06-later kit or the 93-05 kit. I dont want to go inside primarys and change anything i just want to install controls and linkage.

Considered Kuryakyn forwards? Their kit is designed to do EXACTLY what you want to do. Includes a rubber coated clip to lock the front mid-shift linkage out of the way and a chrome cover for the mid-shift spline. And is easily installed with a few simple tools.

About $300 from easternperformance.com. Got mine put on my '08 FXDC about a week ago. AWESOME, and as stated, they do EXACTLY what you're looking for!

Kury's with the cap so you dont have to remove the shaft.

Mine took a bit longer to get here, but I do live in east bumf&^%... They only took about 1 1/2 - 2 hours to install too...

pureoper.....I'm going to ride along on your thread, because I want to do the same thing to my bike. I have an 07 FXDC that I want to put the forwards on also. I've been thinking Kurys for the very reason the others are saying. The thing is I have the HD 49010-06 engine guard and Kury says: Forward Controls are not compatible with most engine Guards. My question is, has anybody installed the Kurys on their 07-08 FXDC with the engine guard? Oh ya, I almost forgot.....pictures?????
