Take the time and read all 35 pages of this thread. If nothing else, you should be able to make an informed decision. IMO XIED is the way to go.

Oh man... 35 pages?! lol i cant imagine this adding to my confusion.

The Stage 1 download is said to increase the rev limiter, adjust the VE tables, but still leaves your AFR too lean in orderto meet EPA standards. I suspect that the dealer has different canned maps that are tuned to a given exhaust/AC configuration. What the stealer should have said that HD doesn't have a map tuned to your configuration.
The SE race tuner or SERT allows you to completely customize the ECU for open and closed loop operation, unfortunately you really have to know what you're doing, and it take a lot of (expensive) DYNO time to get things just right. There are other options that piggy-back the ECU to fool it into running richer but by far the most cost effective is the Xied from Nightrider. At least skim Cruiser's thread (m_2836828) and visit nightrider.com to see what he has to say before you pay way too much for a solution that you really won't benefit from.
Before I read that thread I didn't know nuthin 'bout none of this.
I recently read an article in American Iron magazine of a build-up on an 08 road king I believe(Not sure of the model)
They said that the ECM and air sensors on the 08 will adjust to a pipe and ac change with no problem.I wished the system on my 06 would do that also.
