I just ordered the kit from Chicago Harley. Hopefully, they do actually have it since it's listed in their online store for sale when you punch in the number. Tried Zanotti and it doesn't come up on their site. Sent them an e-mail and they don't have either the std or chrome kit.

Will know soon enough, I guess.

I have the parts list for anyone interested. Harley davidson part number J01921. The brake pedal part number is obsolete but a look in the 2003 Dyna Defender Police Bike parts book will get an active brake pedal number that works fine. Cannot attach the PDF for this as it is too large of a file. Contains all part numbers and instructions for installation. I will look for the new brake pedal part number and post it.

I don't use a heel-toe shifter with my boards. My single lever leaves more space on the left board, and I prefer to shift the standard way. The large brake pedal robs some room from the right one, but IMO it gives you better control than the smaller pedal used with pegs. The variety of foot postions with boards is a big plus, especially with highway pegs.

BTW- I have forwarded this thread to a whole bunch of guys asking about boards...best one I've seen. Good work, Keeg!

I have the '02 FXDP and they do rattle a bit. In fact the whole bike was a bit of a rattle trap when I got it. Had to add spacers to the tank to keep it from moving. The saddle bags rattled and would pop open when I hit a bump or railroad. Took those off. The windsheild/ highway lamp / guard contraption had to go. Only thing I left was the floorboards. They do make some noise but they ride great. I would like to change to the adjustable shifter.

Just got this order update from Chicago Harley:
We're sorry but 50580-01 is obsolete and no longer available. We must cancel your order and we hope that you choose to order from Chicago Harley-Davidson again soon.

Default part # FXDP brake pedal

I have compared the build up as described in the leaflet J01921 with the build up as it is shown in the 2003 FXDP parts catalog and found out ther are some differences.
The part# for the brake pedal as used at the 2003 FXDP is P/N 33711-02. This is not the only part you'll need when you want to install this pedal to the R.H. front support. In addition there are (from outside to inside):
PAD, brake pedal P/N 42416-83 (stock)
Screw, 3/8-16 X 1 TorxP/N 4059
Washer, 3/8 X 13/16 X 1/16 P/N 6701
SHAFT, pivot P/N 33689-02
WASHER, spring wave P/N 34641/01
BUSHING, flanged P/N 33703-01
(R.H. FRONT SUPPORT)
BUSHING, flanged P/N 33703-01
WASHER 3/8 X 13/16 X 1/16 P/N 6701
LOCKNUT 7/16-14 X 21/64 X 5/8 hex P/N 7827W
Kind regards from "The Low Lands", René

Correct - this is why I refered to the 2003 Dyna Defender Police Bike parts book. A good parts person will get you what you need. Most of these parts are also in the original list of parts so be sure to not order doubles.

PS anyone who wants the J01921 parts list and installation instructions I can email it to you - HD dealers cannot get it any longer and it has bee pulled from most web locations. To large to post here.
