Here in Fairbanks AK, I'm paying $4.48 a gal for diesel, wife paying $4.04 a gal premium.

$3.71 for 91 octane in the Phoenix area.

In Idaho: $3.90 for 93 octane, and almost $5 for diesel.

Filled the explorer sunday @ 3.51 for 85. drove by the same station tuesday morning and it's @ 3.69 now.

You give himtoo much credit... the president has no control over free market fuel prices or the stock market. You can blame the media's spreading ofdoom and gloom for some of that.

And I converted all my "rewards points" from my credit card for gasoline gift cards.

I'm stationed in Japan, on base I pay 2.95- 3.00 a gallon. Off base it's around $7 a gallon (rough estimate) so needless to say I don't buy gas off base unless I have too!

That's a good point. Here in the USA we still have some of the cheapest gas prices around.
And gas could be $7 a gallon here and the roads would still be choked withtrucks, SUVs and single occupant cars.

I'm thinking about putting the battery tender on the pickup and buying a better rain suit.
