25,000... no problems but a minor break light switch on the hand lever.
Heard the shoes go bad at about that time, so changed over to Gear Drive (SO much better... shoes were almost gone!).
Then I went bananas and changed to a 95 inch motor, and a new trans (SE 6 speed, complete), and have had nothing but problems! LOL!
But that was expected to be honest. Anytime you rebuild something thats not broken, you can expect little things to pop up.. Oil leaks (oil filter mount o rings, push rod tube o rings not
able to Handel the added oil pressure from the new SE oil pump). Broken oil line fittings, because the cover pushed down too hard on the worm gear hose clamp heads. New starter and
ring gear (84 tooth) because even a little higher compression (10.1) will kill the old ring gear and starter.
But I expect it to last well into the future once I get the wrinkles out.
My nephews 02 fat boy had to have a new fuel pump @ 23,000 and at about the same time, we replaced the shoes.. but his were not too bad.
Pump was under warranty (extended to the 7 year plan).

RE: how many miles
DWG 06
Not so well 2500 injector's 8 to 25 rad better
6700 primary bearing
7200 Mini Ape's broke
8800 bolt broke right forward control pedal went to road
12000 stater bolts backed out and itwent into primary chain
just about 20000 and no further problems
Interesting that the primary bearing has popped up a couple times.. Youare talking about the bearing behind the clutch pack right (inner primary)?
Believe it or not, taking the primary chain off (with comp sprocket, and clutch pack) isn't really that hard. The comp sprocket can be a bear, so just have a GIANT breaker bar/socket.
Anyway, just glancing at the post here... looks like the average is 25,000 miles... and then only minor things pop up. Thanks for the question... interesting reading.
