I replaced my mini apes on my Wide Glide with 12" Chubby's andran the wires internal with SS braided throttle and clutch lines, a GREAT improvement both in comfort and look.
Just curious, I know many states have laws about the height of your bars, i.e. hands cannot be higher than shoulders... Anyone ever get stopped for that with the taller apes? I went with the 12" so as to avoid the issue, but it turns out they are the most comfortable I have had.
I believe that our laws here in WashingtonState is as you said no higher than shoulders and after atest fit with 16" and stock riser, theyareequal to my shoulders or a bit lower.
You start with mini apes and later on, you'll go with 14" and later 16" and 18"... Apes turn you crazy !
I'm thinking of selling my 10.5" mini apes and 4" risers (pictured) to go with 14" apes. I think I'll have to replace the cables, too. Anybody interested in my take-offs?
