Default Changing out pipes!!

I just bought a 2008 superglide custom and I love it to pieces!! Well except for lack of noise coming out of the stock pipes!!! Ugh!! lol Can someone please tell me what is required to change out the pipes to some noisemakers?? I keep hearing there is some sensor thingy that is required with the new models and that it isn't as easy as just putting some new pipes on!! Help!! lol Thanks

I have a set of Rush Slip on Mufflers, and they make you're Harley sound like a Harley should sound, Deep rumble but not over extensive.

yup, it depends on how noisy you want it,, slip ons are great as no need to change ecm maps, but if you want to go full zorst you also should go for an air intake system and then its PCIII or fuel pack time also.. so it depends on how much money, time, effort you want to put in...

I have the same scoot and went with Cycle Shack slip ons. The cheapest way to go and I am very happy with the sound & finish of them and the swap takes about 15 minutes. You wont need to do anything else to run slip ons.You can find them for under $120 shipped.

congrats on the new ride... be sure to get pipes for your year bike so the "sensor thingy" has a hole to screw into...

slipons= only buying slipons..... also some new clamps to install them as recommended by H-D.

you will need wrenches for the bolts and a torque wrench to torque to spec.
breaker bar possibly if you do not have 1/2 " drive socket set.
