I just got a standard height HD quick detach windshield for my bob. I've done about 150 miles with it and it does the job. The only problem I have with it is that I can't get used to looking through it. Am I supposed to look through it? or over it? It's too tall for me to look over. So if I'm doing some twisties I feel like the windshield is getting in the way of my vision. It distracts me from looking "through" turns. Anyway, if anyone can shed some light on this issue for me I would appreciate it. This is the first time I've ridden a bike with a windshield.

I have mine set up so I look over it just for the reason you stated. The only thing I can think of to do with yours is to dremel the top to get it to the height you would need to look over it. Sorry, not much help!!
I had the same problem when I first put mine on my 06 bob. I now have it set so I look over it almost all the time. The bottom bracket is about 1/2" above the bottom tree. It was all the way down but I installed a set of Kury bullet lights and had tomove it up enought to clear the lights. If you can't adjust it to suit you it can always be cut. Good luck.
The ideal spot is to have the WS come just up to your nose. myFatbob has the mid detatchable and it could have been maybe an inch higher, however between 65 and 70 mph it just feels like a slight breeze, but no heavy wind pushing mr bsck.I think it's perfect.
