Ok so someone out there must have worn out the OEM tyres fitted to the Fat Bob. Whats the options for replacements and whats the thoughts on them?
Sorry I thought I did.
The reason I ask is cos of the unusual size on the front of the Fat Bob and I thought with the weather over there someone would have done the mileage to wear out a pair. I'm used to running a GSX1400 and they are usually done for in 7-8000 miles.
Again I apologize - just trying to get an idea of what replacements may have been brought to the market we may not have heard about over in the UK yet.
No need to apologize Dodzi.
Your query was fine.
I don't have tire info for the Fat Dynas,
someone will probably answer you. Maybe.
OK - I've had the bike for 4 weeks - done about 3.5K miles and they are starting to flat off a bit so I was wondering if any of the tyre companies were offering tyres of the same dimension as the originals as alternatives to the dunlops. Looking for tyres which would improve grip rather than lasting longer. I have had reports that venoms grip well but not sure that there are any which would fit the big boy.
Actually you can stick a 200 on a stock rim and it will fit with out any modifications.
There is a guy on here that installed a 160 on the front ( I believe)
and a 200 on the rear with out any modifications.
1- your road conditions are not the same as here in the USA. Compounds make a difference in mileage. Looks or performance is your choice. More performance = less mileage. What is important to you. Larger (wider) the tire = more friction. Weight to HP ratio should determine how much rubber you need to brake it loose. If you wants looks than all is up to you.
