Hi kulu, I've got an 07-FXDC; 15K miles to date. Got the 2-up Sundowner⢠Deep Bucket SeatH-D cat#51540-06, from day-1. VERY pleased. And I'm talking regular 300&up mile days of tight backroads. For quick release I put the Detachable Seat Hardware KitH-D cat#51676-97A. Works fine, no tools. It does work with the existing foam pads. 40 years young Lilach doesn't come along very often, so her comments aren't valid. 9 years Harley, though, is very happy on long weekend camping trips. 3 years Davidson is yet to try (even terrified of stock pipes!). what is the best 2up seat for comfort and easy change switch with the stock seat and back to stock. i would like to be able to change the seat back to stock or any low profile 2 up seat when not on a long trip.
Dude, That's one happy dog in your avatar pic.
You really should try them on your bike and sit on them. The Sundowner was a bit too wide for me, so I tried the Touring seat which is 15" wide vs 16", and was glad I had the opportunity to test fit first. Our local HD Dealer has pretty good inventory on seats and 20% off parts on holidays, so you might check your dealer and test fit before you buy.
The Touring Seat was very comfortable all the way through a 650 mile ride for me. However, I don't like the looks that much, so I switch back to stock for local riding. I might checkout that RallyRunner seat some day, it looks promising.

RE: long hall seats for dyna
On my 94 lowrider I used to switch between a mustang two up and an HD solo that I picked up at a flea market. I wanted a simular set up for my new Fat Bob. I ended up w/the Rallyrunner seat. Very nice leather seat and I like the look so much I'll probably just forget about the solo option.
thank you for all the info from everyone i have lot to think about. i guess i'll see what the stealer has on stock when i go fro my 5000 mile maintance in couple of weeks. i'll will also be adding a kuryakyn widow grips then the widow pegs i will install. i can do the simple mods.
