Default need help removing fork slider covers

I'm changing my fork sliders but I can't get the slider covers off. Can anyone offer some help? Thanks!

There is a small notch in the bottom of the slider cover. I used a small piece of brass bar, and held it in the slot while hitting the end with a hammer. If you don't have brass just try to use something softer than the cover so you don't damage it.

+1 with what Hogrida said but I'll add I used a flat blade screwdriver with a few layers of duct tape on it, electrical tape will work also.

I used a brass drift and still put a nick in the edge ofeach cover. It is a very insignificant nick and when lined up with the notch, it is barely noticable.
