Anyone had this happen to them? I hit a pothole @ 85-90 on the 101 west of Ventura. No flat tire or anything,just snapped the bolt.A 4" long shock bolt seems like pretty stupid design.

amf, millions of machines, two of these bolts on each,
on this particular forum I do believe I have read of 2
maybe three broke bolts like you have.
Stock shocks??
Bolt torqued properly??
90 mile an hour pothole will test the limits.
