I bought a 2005 Superglide FXD and just got her home. I was just wondering what some cool minor customizations might be that i can do right off the bat without spendin' any money. For example, i took off my fork reflectors before i got it off the trailer. I not trying to seem cheap because i will be spending plenty of money on this thing i am sure. Customization is an addiction for sure (or at least it was on my other Harley). Any other "SUTTLE" ideas that you guys may have for me to do just send em' my way. I kinda like small little ideas that someone might not notice unless they are a true Harley fan. Thanks guys... this forum rocks!
Take stuff OFF ya don't need. Look on Ebay... but be patient. I promise you what you're looking for will show up eventually but you
have to be patient. I saved a ton of money this way. Took me longer but worth it. Got new Arlen Ness wheels on Ebay overstock from a major cataloger for $600 for front and back (list $1200 each). Got Arlen Ness rear marker lights used but in fine condition for cheap, side mount plate holder for $35 new. Shocks for cheap new, axle covers, on and on.
What did you do to your other Harley....that might be an inspirational starting point for you. Otherwise check the under $50 thread, tons of good info there. Have Fun !!!
