I don't think these anniversery models hold any special value. Year or two ago I saw LOTS of 100th models on Ebay and they weren't bringing anymore than the usual bike. The problem with the 105th models is not eveyone likes the color sceme (hey if you do God bless) so I guess my point is go ahead and modify. First take those pipes off and let 'em breathe ...that's half the problem and change the air cleaner to high flow...it's amazing just what a stage 1 will do. If you're still not happy go fro there. After you get out from under the sporty payments you can go bugnuts with ther engine upgrades.
I think the thing that hurt the value of the 100th Anniversary bikes that you mention being evrywhere on Ebay is that "ALL" the bikes were Anniversary bikes in 2003 and Harley flooded the market with them. If you had the money, they had the time to build you one. I'm hoping they learned from their mistake this time around by the fact they only built 2,000 Dyna Lowriders and the same low numbers with the other models. That's what I hope keeps them somewhat of a novelty , but hey what do I know. I agree though that my Duracell color scheme gets mixed reviews when I go places. I didn't like it online and went into the Stealership to buy Pacific Blue, but when I saw the Anniversary bike in person with the Medallions on the tank and copper trim on the engine..Well, you know the rest of the story..lol.
you got a Dyna, thats the end of your wallet just accept it and move on coz your gonna be throwing money at from here on in..... But hey,, great choice of ride[8D]
