Well I broke down and bought some Python staggerd duals today. I installed them myself it was easy. I noticed that my o2 sensors werent plugged in after the dealer put on the PCIII when I had my SEII slipons. The pythons say to plug it in. I left them unplugged and took her for a spin. WOW they sound really deep and throaty! Way louder than the SEII slip ons and way more torque and power! Without the o2 sensors it ran just fine. I also have the PCIII and stage 1 a/c. Im not sure what DL the PCIII has. Should I plug in the o2 sensors and take it to dealer to update the PCIII?
Here is a crappy pic of the new pipes. They look just like the V&H big shots, they are made by V&H but they cost me $100 less. Im very very please with them and highly reccommend them. Ill take better pics tomorrow.
No the PCIII bypasses the O2 sensors. Just download the M811-003 map and put it on the PCIII yourself with the supplied usb cable. Its really easy man. Just download the latest software from powercommander and then load the map.
Cool lol now all I have to do is drag my computer in the garage. I cant even see where the PCIII is on the bike. Is it in the battery box? I didnt really look for it.
They probably stuck it under the seat. Its really easy to load the maps on yourself. Their website has some pretty good tutorials. It beats paying the dealer to do it.
When I drag my computer to the garage Ill record the sound of the pipes so you guys can here them. They really sound impressive. I finished putting them on when it was dark outside. When I fired it up i was kinda concerned about the neighbors lol.
The PCIII should have came with an interface to where you can plug up a 9 volt battery to it, so you don't have to drag your pc out to your garage. Just unhook the PCIII from your bike, plug in the 9 volt battery, and take it inside to your pc. POOF!
