Help! Engine Code p0562 Low Voltage
I was stranded on monday after a check engine light came on. I figured it might just be my two year old battery. I bought a new one, and low and behold, I was stranded again today! \\;I am trying to \\;figure out why \\;there is low voltage, or a constant drain on the bike.
 \\;
My bike just had the primary case bearing replaced by the dealer. The warrenty is up, and the dealer is 100+ miles away. Dealer is not an option. I was hoping someone has some experience with this issue. Please help.
Thanks!

I have a copy of a code list off of this forum that shows P0562=Battery Voltage Low EFI. \\; Does that help? \\; Try a search on the forum for that code for more info. \\; Good luck!
I do know the code pops up as low voltage. Thank you Bob for that, but I am trying to figure out why it is causing the low voltage. Any insight?

I sold batteries for a couple of years and I installed more than a few that turned out to be bad from the factory. \\; Can you check the code on the battery to see when it was made? \\; Other than that and the connections, I don't know.
+1.

Did you just buy a new battery, or did you have the charging system checked? I have had voltage regulators go bad in a couple of years.
 \\;\\\\\\;
Charge the battery then check the voltage at the battery, should be 13.2 volts. \\;\\\\\\;With the engine running, you should get 14+ volts.
 \\;\\\\\\;
You may also want to check the engine ground to make sure it is tight. If you don't have a multimeter, you can get them cheap at any auto parts store.
