Want to place self-stick medallion on back of sissy bar but pad \\;screw not flush. \\;How do they put \\;them on? Saw same on on other bikes at dealer but they won't tell. Maybe he didn't know.

Try taking the screw out and pad off. \\; If the recess is under the pad side, you need to turn the bar around, and reinstall it. \\; The screw head should have a recess to fit into. \\; This is the only way it will stay flush. \\; I installed mine backwards, so this might be the culprit.
If the problem is the wrong screw, Home Depot has some drawers in the hardware department with speciality screws and such. \\; You should be able
to find something in there...

Thanks, Jeff. Just want to say that this site is great. Second time you guys \\;gave me some great advice. Admitting my own stupidity, sissy bar was on backwards. Took pad off, turned it around, and sure enough, there was a recess for the screw. Placed bar back together. Medallion is on and ready to roll. Thanks alot. Howard
Howard,
\\; No problem man! \\; I did the same thing. \\; I didn't want to break the locktite I had put on those babies, so I just put some thick(er) double sided tape to fix/affix mine...
Mine was the same way, screw sticking out, i tightened all the way but that was it,still sticking out, i put it on anyways and works well. The thickness of these white felt sticky stuff made up for it i guess!
