Hi everyone. I have an 06 Street Bob. Coming home the other day the battery and fuel pump light came on. Bike ran fine for 2 miles to get home. Checked with a DVM and deffinately no charging going on. My question is about the fuel pump indicator light coming on. Is this because the battery is not being charged. When I turn on the bike the pump and light come on for a few seconds and then go off as normal but if I start the bike the pump indicator comes right back on. Also what is the output voltage of the stator supposed to be?

 

that is your check engine light not the fuel pump light... you can run a diagnotic on the system and it will give you the codes of what is wrong... that light could mean anything from injectors to chargin to lights issues... i do not have the how to or the code meanings at this PC but if someone does not chime in with a how to on triggering the computer in the bike to give up the codes let me know and i will dig it up when i get home... ooh ya 12v is the answer for the stator ? as well
