Default Fuel pump getting weak?

'07 Ultra with 48K.
Been trouble-free but during a ride, I noticed my fuel pump light came on, after it had already gone out before I started the bike.
Ignition on, fuel pump is on.
After the FP light went out, indicating the pump is primed, I started the bike.
Bike started fine but the FP came back on.
It did go out after a few seconds but this isn't normal.

Have a hunch the FP is getting weak so I'll have to check it out this week.

Take a fuel pressure test and if the pressure is less than 58 psi (no matter the throttle position) then replace everything in the fuel pump assembly except for the fuel pump.

What "fuel pump" light? I have an 07 EGC and I don't have a fuel pump light.. I do have an indicator that looks like a gas pump but it only comes on when I'm almost out of gas..

Larely, it would come in, every time I'd start the bike.
Decided to check for codes, even though I didn't get a check engine light.

Turned out, I just was "confused" and forgot my light arrangement!
It was OK with the trouble lights.
Duhhhhh.....

Found a P0562 (Battery Voltage Low) so I cleared it.
Everything was back to normal.

The hose to the fuel pump in the tank can develope leaks at about 35,000 miles and can cause low pressure and performance problems.

The engine light will come on and go off if there are historic trouble codes. You did have one, low battery voltage. I would have the battery load tested just to be on the safe side.
