Default Loose hardware-info sharing

I was pulling into a gas station here in town when I lost my shifter peg. Luckily I had shifted down to 2nd gear when it went, because if hadn't I don't think I would have gotten up the hill to the station&nbsp\\;\\\\\\;in third gear. I did find the peg and put it back on and as soon as I got home it was introduced to some loctite. So check yor hardware!!!!

Anyone who has taken a Basic or Experienced Motorcycle Safety Foundation (MSF)&nbsp\\;course knows you should TCLOC your&nbsp\\;motorcycle before every ride.
&nbsp\\;
This means you check:
&nbsp\\;
T - Tires (and wheels - air pressure, loose spokes, cracked wheels, dry rot)
C - Controls (do they all work)
L - Lights (do they all work)
O - Oils and other lubricants/liquids (check levels and for leaks)
C - Chassis (this is the part you check all bolts, pegs, axles etc)
&nbsp\\;
TCLOC takes 5 minutes or less and can save your life.&nbsp\\; This prevents parts from falling off at the local gas station.
&nbsp\\;
The Motorcycle Safety Foundation website is:&nbsp\\; http://www.msf-usa.org/

Was riding down IH-10 in San Antone hit a piece of chrome that had been ran over by 40,000 cars flew up and knocked off my kick-stand spring making an ungodly noise my kickstand was dragging the pavement 5:05 pm rush hour pulled onto the shoulder and walked back about 1/4 mile there it was laying on the center stripe of lanes 1 and 2 of 3 lanes everybody and they brother sister aunt and uncle cousin tryin to get home I stopped the traffic walked out there and picked it up and lived to tell about it. A guy saw me with the flashers on stopped and had no tools he worked at Alamo Cycle Plex was going home from work pulled the drawstring from his army field jacket and tied up my kickstand. On my way back home happened to come across a brake shop im thinking brakes springs dont care what it cost I got 35 miles to get home without stopping they put it on for me for&nbsp\\;FREE .......................

I check my bike over before every ride, but it's still easy to miss something.

jnogreen - I ride 10 home every day on the way home from work. I almost hit a piece of pipe that was laying on the white lane divider line - the pipe was about 2 inches in diameter and about 3 feet long. Glad I didn't try to switch lanes or I would have hit it. Someone posted here they safety-wired their kickstand to the spring to keep it from falling off. I think I'm going to do that - cheap insurance. Glad someone stopped to help out.
