Default Black fender struts

Can I buy black fender struts? Trying to avoid too much down time. Or will I have to wait till winter and powder coat mine.

HD stopped the black strut covers when they did away with the sport.
Dark Custom really means - we have to powder coat HD chrome.

Keep an eye out for a set from someone who upgrades to chrome, that is what I did. Then sold mine after the swap.

Joe is correct you can.

I could not since I have quick detach setup. They need to contact the covers to line up properly.

Don't forget, the shocks also have to be unbolted and that can be tricky unless you have a lift or some help...

When I pulled mine off to powdercoat them, I had to stop and really think about if I wanted to put them back on at all. I liked the way it looked without them

That's the stage I'm at now.
Except the rear turn signals look funky without the covers and their 'dimples' for the signals.....
