Hi all, I have a 2006 dyna lowrider with efi, and i have a miss/hesitation at low rpm's. It misses from \\;the time the clutch is released to about 2800 rpm's. When riding at low speeds it feels like it pulses. Anyone got any ideas what it could be?
Had the bike checked and they said it wasn't throwing off any codes. Checked the battery terminals, replaced the plugs and still having the same problem.
Mine had the same problems you are describing, had the fuel injectors changed from 8degree to 25 degree injectors and it smoothed it right out. Fixed under warranty. There is a service bulletin out for it. Print it out and take it to the dealer. http://mysite.wanadoo-members.co.uk/hhlair1/M1185.pdf

agreed, could be the injectors are not giving enough spray (common wiht 8*) they will not replace them if you have a SERT. \\; Have youchecked the plugs on your injector, sometimes they rattle loose a bit, make sure they are plugged in tight on the injectors.
Thanks!! I have a guy going to Dyno it tomorrow so I will bring the bulletin along with me and see if they will replace them under warranty. Thank you so much for your help. It has been driving me nuts!!
Man, I'm having the same problem on my 06 Street BOB, I'm currently talking to Columbia SC HD, Harley Haven, looks like they might replace my injectors but they have to call MOCO tomorrow the get the final OK. I hope they do it and hope it fixes it, it's really frustrating when you try to "cruise" through town looking cool and you bike is surging and pulsing away. Anyway, see my posts from yesterday and earlier today. I've been through the ringer with this thing. Hope I finally get it straight. Good Luck with yours.
You can make sure they are the 8' by getting a flashlight and looking at the numbers on them. The back injector is the easiest to see. Both on left side of the tank above the horn cover. \\;If you do have the 8's, make sure you tell the dealer it is cutting out, missing, ect. I almost dropped mine when it cut out on me pulling out of a parking space on a slanted incline. Just one misfire and it was about all over but the crying. Make it about a safety issue, pulling into trafficand having no power/ random misfires. \\;The surging was also really annoying, really is smooth as glass now. \\;My dealer replaced them under warranty no problem, but ymmv. Good luck.
Well I'm hoping you have better luck than me!! Brought it to Seaford Harley and a buddy of mine is a mechanic there. He replaced the injectors with the 25 degree ones and it didn't help!!! But then he put his ear up to my tank and said he thinks the crappy little fuel line on the fuel pump has got a hole in it. Wich would also explain the pulsing. So now I have to wait until July 5th for him to find the time to replace the fuel pump assembly. God I just hope that is it!! This thing has been driving me nuts. I will keep you informed. You may have the same problem. If you find the problem before me, then please let me know what you find.  \\;
Yea checked the plugs on the injectors, had them change them to the 25 degree, helped a little, but mechanic seems to think the fuel pump assemble is bad. So they will replace that for free, and hopefully that will cure it. Thanks for your help.
