Mustang Sales Rep in MB
I was browsing some of the threads and was reminded of a funny situation that happened while in Myrtle Beach for bike week.
The group I was with and myself had wanted to stop and check out the Mustang Seats booth just south of MB Harley so we ride up there. \\; I'm not necessarily happy with the stock seat on my 07 WG so a little window shopping was a good idea. \\; \\; Enter the tent and find the display with all Dyna seats. \\; I really like the pillow style seat. \\; I like the looks and I like the taller step to the passenger area. \\; Gives me a positive point to push against. \\; I've never sat on the mustang seat in question. \\; \\; I start browsing the pillow seat and this little, 5 foot 5-6 inch dark haired guy wearing a mustang seat shirt comes over and starts giving me the sales pitch. \\; After inquiring on the price, to which he replied $339.00, I had become disinterested. \\; I didn't have that money to buy it so why waste the guys time any further. \\; One of the guys I was with came over and joined the conversation because he has an 04 WG. \\; Small talk was made. \\; \\; The salesman then begins to go into how he hates motorcycles because they're too noisy and he hasn't gotten any sleep while at the beach. \\; With my mouth agape, I asked, "but isn't selling motorcycle seats your business?" \\; I actually wrote Mustang about him. \\; I've definitely thought twice about buying a mustang seat regardless if they are the only company that makes the style seat I want. \\;
It wasn't worth having a battle of wits with a defenseless person so I just walked away. \\;
Take it for what it's worth.

Obviously, a less than stellar employee. \\; You did the right thing by letting Mustang know what happened. \\; Regardless, Mustang still gets my vote. \\; Their seat sure made a big difference for me.

I've got the seat you're talking about and it's great. Much better than the stock seat. Mine had a couple of the "buttons" come off, e-mailed Mustang and they sent me a full set of replacement buttons, instructions and even the super glue to secure them with - at no charge.
