Brake Light?????
Went for a ride today and my buddy noticed my brake light is'nt working. I've only got 700 miles on it.....checked bulb....looks good...checked fuses.....all good. I'm taking it in for its 1000 mile service on the 9th of July. It's under warrenty but thought I'ld through it out there to see if anyone has any ideas.
Put a new bulb in that cheap one from the plant might be the problem, next check the plug in behind the light. If not take it back ASAP before some A/H runs into you and the Grigo caveman isn't going to pay you.
Did you just look at the bulb? I was coming home 2 nights ago, and a car driver pulled beside me at a light. she goes, "your brake/running light is not working". after I thanked her for not running into me, i got home and pulled the lens out. The bulb looked fine, so out comes the seat and I am looking for my tester \\; so I can start tracing back , when I go, just a moment , so I pull on the bulb, and sure enough, the contact wires were broken. After a yanked the bulb out in 2 pieces I just ran to the local auto parts store, and bought a replacement. Hope your problem is as simple as that. Just pull the bulb out, and check it out carefully.

Does it work at all? Most common (other than bulb and fuse) seems to be the switches. Almost certainly not the case if it doesn't work when both the front and rear brakes are used. It has happened, but the odds of both switches going bad at once are a little high. Had mine go out completely last week. Bulb was good, fuse and relay (listen for the click when you hit your brake pedal/pull your lever) both fine. Checked for power at the connector (under the seat on my RK) and it was good. Just left the wiring from the connector to the running/brake light and turn \\;signals (mine are all in one housing). Pulled the rear tire and looked over the wiring. Sure enough one of the clips that hold the wiring along the fender had opened and allowed the wire to drag along the tire. Ate through the brake wire and was starting in on the rest of them. Soldered a repair and fixed the clip. Also put on some new conduit and substantial amount of electrical tape. It will still get burned through if the clip breaks again, but damnit the tire will have to work harder to do it this time.
