I also have a slight interest in the FXDC but it has 2 problems I finf it hard to get around. First,my brother has a 07 Wide Glide and he says it's "a bit of hassle" to keep the wheels (spokes) clean. That does not appeal to me much believe me.
 \\;
Okay that's 1 of the 2 problems and yes the spokes on any bike are hard to clean. \\; It's much easier to keep them clean regularly than to let them get really bad and try to clean them. \\; So, what's the second problem?
+1 On the spokes. Swap out the rear for a Deuce wheel and the front is relitively easy to clean. Might swap it out as soon as I can find a Dyna Low Rider cast wheel on Ebay(the polished alum and black wheel). Besides that I enjoy the hell out of it. I too test drove some at Daytona and my FXDC is the best ride of them all. I traded a 06 Ultra in on this and love it.
It's the best HD made now. \\; You can strip it down and ride the twisties or put bags and a windshield on it and go touring. \\; A do-it-all sled. \\; I have 15,000 miles on an '08 and not one single issue. \\; Runs strong and dependably.

I'm scouring the net for a deuce wheel as we speak (thanks RMBLON ). \\; More for the look than the cleaning. \\; However, the front spokes are 5 times easier to clean than the rear anyway and the shout method does do wonders. \\; Again, though, the key is not letting them get too dirty to start with. \\; There's always the option of swapping out wheels. \\; I've seen 1 or 2 guys here that worked a deal to put FXD wheels on their FXDC's before they even rode it home.
