Hot's not good when you're a gal with hot flashes to boot.&nbsp\\; But I had to laugh at Dyan-soar's post.&nbsp\\; We dont have a garage, so we park our&nbsp\\; Heritage and Dyna in a Haulmark 14'&nbsp\\;Low profile trailer.&nbsp\\;When you close her up.......then have to go back inside the trailer an hour or two later, it's almost unbearable.&nbsp\\; Man do they throw off the heat.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\; Even my 2 dogs give those baby's a wide berth when we get home from a day of riding.&nbsp\\; I'm not too sure that Harley wont have some serious issues with this heat thing down the road, after these bikes get some serious miles on them&nbsp\\; I just dont know how anyone could ride a Dyna with the new&nbsp\\;96 in Arizona in the summer on asphalt.&nbsp\\; That's got to be insane.&nbsp\\;

dougm1950........THANKS FOR THE COMPLIMENT, but I think the prettiest is JakeinIraq's low Rider.&nbsp\\; He won Junes contest for best&nbsp\\;bike......&nbsp\\; Now that's one great looking ride.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;I just found out that the 5 3/4" bullet style light will fit&nbsp\\;below my windshield without having to modify it..&nbsp\\; So when she goes in for winter storage, I'll have the dealer install it for me.&nbsp\\; I just hope the PIAA xtreme white bulb I paid $50 bucks for will fit the new one.&nbsp\\;I hate throwing&nbsp\\;money&nbsp\\;away.&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;I &nbsp\\;also want to change out my Derby and Timing covers for something else, I want a chrome primary inner cover, and a few other odds and ends, and If I'm a really good girl, Santa might bring me a set of 2 into 2 big radius pipes.&nbsp\\; I'm sure my neighbors in this retirement community woud just love to hear those, along with my husbands scream'in eagles........but ya only live once........right?&nbsp\\; &nbsp\\;

had an 1100 /1986 sporty that was great except for the 4 speed

You have a 1540cc with a 6 speed now.... it's going to buck and get hot... get on it and ride!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Engine Fixer,
&nbsp\\;
I have an 07 FXDC and &nbsp\\;I'm pretty new to HDs (not new to motorcycles).
&nbsp\\;
My bike runs hot, especially with San Antonio temps reaching 100+ right now. Sometimes it is hard to start if I attempt a near immediate restart. Yes, it holds heat.
&nbsp\\;
My pipes are relatively loud but not obnoxious. My engine makes no valve/engine noises at all and I'd personally be concerned if it did. I run Mobil 1 for V-Twins.
&nbsp\\;
