Default EEEERRRRR!

Was about to change my transmission fluid on my bike i just bought and noticed a regular allen wrench would not fit between the pipes and the cap to add/check transmission fluid.&nbsp\\; Is there a trick to getting around the pipe without taking them off?&nbsp\\; Not enough room for a socket wrench w/an hex attachent either.&nbsp\\; I almost need something like a screwdriver with a&nbsp\\;90 degree bend&nbsp\\;and a SHORT hex tip.&nbsp\\; Is there a tool out there like this and where would i look?&nbsp\\; There isn't one at Advanced Auto...

I hear ya, had the same problem, found one as you describe, not an easy find though.&nbsp\\; You may want to look into something like this for the future.

Thanks Ed.&nbsp\\; I looked but didn't see anything but I'll keep looking.&nbsp\\; I&nbsp\\; may have missed it.&nbsp\\; I guess I could cut the allen wrench to the size I need....or take off the pipes.&nbsp\\; There has to be something out there for this type issue.

I have a 3/8" punch that when turned upside down fits perfectly into that cap. The I put a 3/8 deep socket over the "punch" end and I can use a ratchet to take off and on.

I cut an allen wrench and gripped the stub with a box wrench.

I still can't find a tool that I see would work on that site but I appreciate the help.&nbsp\\; I guess I will either try the 3/8 punch or cut one and turn w/a wrench.&nbsp\\; Was it a biotch to cut?

Bulldog,
I'm able to use an allen-head socket on an extension bar the reach in and loosen mine with.&nbsp\\; I own an 06 Low Rider.&nbsp\\; Hope this helps.

Had this problem on a dyna I worked on.&nbsp\\; I cut the short end of an allen wrench to make it even shorter.&nbsp\\; I was then able to use the wrench, as normal and sneak the cover off.
&nbsp\\;
use the same wrench every time now

Use the long end of the allen wrench. Take your battery cover off first.
