I still can't find a tool that I see would work on that site but I appreciate the help.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; I guess I will either try the 3/8 punch or cut one and turn w/a wrench.&nbsp\\;\\\\\\; Was it a biotch to cut?
ya&nbsp\\; it was a beeotch with only limited tools available.&nbsp\\; I hacked thru it part way with a hack saw - then with it still in the vise I slammed it with a hammer until it snapped - not a very clean cut - but does the job.

Can you use a hex head socket with a 3/8 swivel and extension? That's what I use. Use caution as it runs VERY close to the paint.

That's why we take our bikes into the Dealer for service.&nbsp\\; 1. They have the tools 2. If they damage anything, they have to repair it and 3. keeps the warranty intact and indisputable.

Dude, I just changed mine and messed around a little then used a T-handle allen wrench with the battery cover off I was able to turn it a little at a time.&nbsp\\; It doesn't require much to free up and re-tighten.&nbsp\\; Good luck.

I just did mine a few days ago. I just used my 3/8" ratchet with a 8" extension and an allen socket. Took me all of about 5 seconds to get out and put back in. I didnt even have to take off the battery cover. Go to autozone and spend $10 on the allen sockets and another $5 on an extension and you're ready to go. No chance for damage to your bike unless the socket flies out of your hand.... very very simple and the torque is low so getting it out shouldn't require much muscle.

I use an allen 3/8" socket, without the ratchet&nbsp\\;wrench... just stick it in&nbsp\\;the cap, then use an open ended wrench to loosen/tighten

I ended up buying a 3/8 socket and punching out the hex end tip.&nbsp\\; I put the hex end on the cap, put a wrench on the other end and worked fine.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;Appreciate all the replies.....
