Default Ceramic Coat

I am having my pipes ceramic coated and was curious if anyone here&nbsp\\;has had this done. If so, what do think about it?

Haven't had mine done because the only color it comes in is gray. My Bassani pipes already have a black ceramic coat on them but I have heard that the ceramic/metalic coating really reduces the radiant heat factor.

my pipes were ceramic coated from vance and hines... black as you can tell.&nbsp\\; i really like the coating.&nbsp\\; it has a nice finish and cleaned up easy, soap and water, make sure they are at room temp when cleaning.&nbsp\\; they are supposed to stand up the a great amount of heat.&nbsp\\; i really like it.&nbsp\\; did you get black or near chrome??? or different color?

As soon as I am willing to have my bike off the street for a week I am getting mine done. I am using a sort of off black color, I would not call it gray. It comes pretty close to matching the matte black powder coating I have elsewhere on the bike.&nbsp\\;

if your just cermanic coating your heat shields there is no need to be out of commission, just run you bike without heat shields, may not look so hot with all the gold and blues, but you will be riding and not sitting in the garage looking at the bike!&nbsp\\; or your pipes might not have seperate heat shields.&nbsp\\;
&nbsp\\;
now that i read your post again it may seem like your wanting to coat the pipe and the shields (if applicable)?

Yeah, I am coating the entire thing. Well, not the head pipes, but the heat shield and the mufflers. I really really really hate chrome. Another thing that is holding me up is I am not sure I am keeping the stock exhaust, I may get some slip ons and it would be a waste to coat the stock exhaust only to replace them months later.&nbsp\\;
