I like the style of the D&D Fatcat 2into1's or the Bassani Road Rage in black as well but have heard the Bassanis have issues with their coating as well as their heat shields only being in chrome, not black. Um lame. I cant find the D&D's in black for my year, 2008.
I would like to hear your guys suggestions on this style. Who else makes black pipes that you all are happy with, heat wise, performance wise, etc..
I would also like to hear from you owners of the Bassani and Fatcats. Do you think they are too hot on the leg, did your coating wear off because it was cheap ceramic (or just paint) etc..
Who cares what they make in black............pick the pipes you like and send out to Jet Hot!! you'll love 'em, easy to clean and maintain. No issues with pipes turning colors or fade,im sure there are a few rides here who've done em.....my Badboys' had powder coated pipes for six years. no problems
How are they on the heat issue or did you get the heatshield coated by Jet hot as well? I did send them a request for quote alreay btw. Also do you remember what you paid at Jet-Hot to get them coated?
Thanks Ridgeback..............as for pricing......90 bux for the heat shields,120 for the muffs,50 for the gloss black, 50 for the chrome removal, 34 to ship for a total of $344.00 Its a little pricy but that was the look i was goin for.

D & D does make black.. True Duals.. I don't know about the 2 into 1's..
Chrome pipe with black cover. Excellent sound and performance. I get so many compliments and questions about it.
Love the look of that pipe but haven't heard much either way on performance or fit and finish. Can you post a pic on your bike or ideally a sound byte? What is your favorite characteristic of the pipe?
This winter, I had my heat shields powdercoated and I painted the mufflers with Krylon hi-temp BBQ black. I had a little discoloration on the heat shield right at the port (but it's still black). Other than that, no troubles as of yet.
