Hi,
 \\;
This may sound a bit dumb, but does anybody have a list of the basic tools required for Harley (Superglide) ownership. I am newish to Harleys after many years on Jap or German (metric) bikes?
 \\;
Cheers,
Stu

The only thing I had to buy so far was a larger set of standard allen wrenches, a torx screwdriver the right size for the derby covery, and a oil filter wrench that would fit.
 \\;
Other than that just standard wrenches and sockets I already had and a torque wrench. Thats just for service so Im sure I will run across other things as I do more to it.
I bought a standard set of Craftsman tools (they're always on sale) and some ratchet torx drivers. \\; A large socket for the fork tube bolts is handy. \\; I also bought a Sears yellow lift. \\; Do one oil change yourself and you'll save enough cash to buy all of the above.
Torx bits, ranging from small to LARGE, a torque wrench from 10 in lbs to 1000 in lbs, maybe a ft lb one too (just can't think of the values right now), \\;some crows feet (foot? \\; sounds funny saying feet, but it would be proper, I guess), a million \\;different sizes of allen heads, and your \\;basic tools you most likely have i.e\\; rachets, wrenches, screwdrivers, sockets, etc. \\; You might want to go get a belt tension checker from HD, and maybe even a shock pre load adjuster from them too. \\; That's all I can think of right now. \\; If I come up with more, I'll post 'em later. \\; Hopefully this helps.
