so the Arlen Ness Mini Oval mirrors do not \\;stand the test of time. went over to Western Washington a couple weeks ago and one rattled loose. just yesterday, the other side did the same. went to tighten it up, and the entire stem stripped right out! barely put any pressure on the thing at all, and the thread just ripped right out. stem is alum. and the mount is steel. just a heads up. if you do go with them, just make sure you tear them down when you first get them, and locktite the crap out of all the parts and make sure you are careful when tightening them up!

went with \\;a bar end mirror i had sitting around the garage. had them on my yama chop, and love the look. not to mention, you can see everything going on behind you with them.

i'll post some pics when i get \\;a chance.
That is some good info to know. I wonder if they are using the same cheap metal that is on my Suzuki...I lost count of how many bolts stripped out working on that thing...
Thanks for the heads-up... I'm going to get home and locktite the hell out of my pair. \\; Not that it would be the same, but what are the torque specs for the OEM mirrors?
My AN mini ovals have also rattled out. \\; Haven't stripped out yet, but I have to tighten them about every 20 miles. \\; They look good, but thats about it.

it isn't the stem nut that loosens, it is where the mirror mounts to the stem that I had an issue with. there is only 5 coarse threads that hold the entire mirror on. bad design, but look really good. like the bar end a bit more though.
