Hey all, my wife and I are taking our Lowrider up for the HOG 25th/H-D 105th the end of August and my dilema is that I am not sure what sissybar luggage to buy. I have the H-D detachable backrest and luggage rack so mounting isn't a problem. What appears to be my biggest problem is that my wife tends to take everything but the kitchen sink and I would like to have the most carrying capacity that I can get, but I can't really tell from descriptions on websites how big the bags really are..........anyone care to suggest a BIG luggage system to me?  \\;
i just bought some nylon bags (big one and a day you can stack) and mount to the sissy bar. from ebay they are the same as the touring luggage from HD but only a 100 bucks and they include the rain cover, good alternate to the 200 bucks. you just have to get creative. that is what i am doing i have to goto pensacola, fl at the end of july for 2 weeks.
do you have saddle bags also?
 \\;
you will just have to take what you need... can't change a woman from packing everything and teh kitchen sink...
 \\;
Yes, I have the H-D saddlebags, so I am thinking if I have a 2 cu. ft. main bag and a rollbag to mount to the top, I should be alright.......dang curling iron and blow dryer [8D] \\;
I am picking my bike up in GA next weekend. \\;\\\\\\; I plan on using one of these. \\;\\\\\\; Price is right compared to what I've seen in the shops. \\;\\\\\\; Even if it only lasts one trip, it's a heck of a lot cheaper then what the equivalent would cost even in nylon.
220250421481 is the ebay item number. \\; the forum's fun blunders won't let me post the link accurately
I have the T-Bag Expandable Tahoe. \\; I wouldn't want anything bigger along with a passenger. \\; Whatever you have will end up being full. \\; You are better off getting what is right for the bike and then have her put everything out on the bed that she would take, and then load the bag... once it is full, she either has to live with it, or remove stuff to make room for what is left. \\;
There is a gross weight limit for the bikes. \\; I figure I have about 100lbs after passenger for anything else. \\; you have to take your weight, her weight, and then you will know what you can add.... the bigger the two of you are, the smaller your carry number

You could have her follow you in an RV? \\; Bathroom, kitchen and living room all rolled into one.

I have one of the T bags with the roll on top and man you can fit some stuff in this thing. \\; I packed it up on my 5 day trip to York pa with 5 days of cloths, rain gear, jacket and still had room packed tight you could get two people 5 days of clothes in it and strap your leathers on top.
Love it and it has 4 straps on it you strap down to the sissybar and your good to go.
OhioSkully.......
 \\; What size sissy bar do you have to hold that T bag. \\; I know for the Dyna's they come in 3 heights......and do you have the rack on the back end too......or just the sissy bar?
T-Bag LoneStar with roll top bag. I have the "low" sissy bar and regular back rest pad. It fits with the large bucket backrest pad, but is a pain to get off and on. \\; Three trips totalling 8000 miles, one of those with my Sporty and the "medium low" sissy bar. BTW, I overpacked all three trips...
