I can change from Cruiser to stripped down barhopper (for lack of a better term) in about 4 minutes. I like the stripped down version but it never fails as soon as I take the bags off I think of something I need at the store and have no way to carry it. Which one do you like?

Gotta love the stripped down barhopper look - always. \\; I don't have saddle bags but I have what I call my 2-up setup with an ugly fat sofa seat, sissy bar, and windshield. \\; I HATE all 3 but they are necessary at times.

I'm the proud owner of an '07 Street Bob. \\; First thing I bought was the HD detachable windshield. \\; Then, just so I could carry luggage, I bought the HD detachable passenger seat, sissy bar, and luggage rack \\;(having no intention of ever having a passenger I did not even buy the passenger pegs). \\; Then I bought the HD luggage set that attaches to the sissy bar. \\; I went that route vs. bags thinking that on a long trip \\;I could lean back against the luggage. \\; By the way, with my mini apes and mid pegs I can't. \\; Problem is, I have never detached anything. \\; I love my windshield and even on day rides I still think of something to put in the smaller day bag.
So far I have only used the windshield for cold weather and it helps a lot in the cold. If or when I get time to go for a long ride the windshield will go back on. Usually I ride it with this configuration.
