I just picked up a new detach windshield, the one that has no mounting hardware left on the bike.(Quick Clamp) and while assembling it I noticed that one of the chrome clamps was broke. My question is, does anyone know if H-D sells the clamp kit seperatly? I bought the windshield on line from Zanotti Harley-Davidson. I don't know if they will just ship me the replacement part or if I will have to ship the entire package back to them for replacement.
I am sure they sell the replacement clamp.........but I wouldn't even consider buying one when Zanotti's owe you one. I really like mine, you can't beat them on trips. I leave mine on all the time.

I've never broke one of mine but there have been several posts stating all you have to do is take the broken one into a dealer and they will replace it for free. Apparently they break quit easily.
One of the handles broke on mine. \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Parts guy at dealership said they normally have clamps on hand but were out at the moment. \\;\\\\\\;\\\\\\\\\\\\\\; Ordered a single clamp, $28 dollars if I remeber right, took a week to come in.

\\;Put one on my 05 LowRider. Couple of hints, keep the hardware loose and when the windshield is on the bike tighten everything up, also there is a black rubber piece on the windshield frame don't toss it it, it there to protect the throttle cables from chafing on the sharp edge.

I went into the dealer to purchase mine. \\; I didn't realize they had to be assembled. \\; The service manager was nice enought to put it together for me at no charge and clamp it on my bike. \\; Even he broke 2 of the 4 clamps and broke 1 of the 2 twice before getting it on the bike. \\; I've had it off and on my bike many times since then without issue. \\; I think the trick is to have them tight but not too tight and to make sure the clamps are attached to the forks "squarely". \\; In other words make sure it is on straight and not higher on one side than the other.
