Powder coating is extremely flexible and will work fine on springs.&nbsp\\; I coat them all the time and have never had any problems.

springs only or whole shock... reason I ask is $195 will get you some progressive 412 in black..
better ride, can lower stock height an inch, and they look good. wonder what they gonna charge to powder.

prob like 50 bucks if you send the springs... you can look in the book for how to pull them apart... i had a buddy of mine pull my old honda CB's shocks apart, cut out a coil, rino line them, and toss them on his yamaha maxim... dropped him about an in, gave him a bit of a rough ride but MAN they looked cool! that was the first time i saw shocks taken apart... and i have cut a coil out of MANY a car suspension... if you just want black... pull em apart and powder... if you want the drop and the ride as well as black... progressive shocks are great shocks (so i hear i have never owned a set on a HD) all depends on what you are trying to get done
