Looking for my next Dyna. 2 ways to go about this:
 \\;
New or near new Twin cam Dyna with 6 speed....
 \\;
or buy a 96 Dyna, in good shape, and put in an S&\\;S or Ultima 96 and a 6 speed.
 \\;
Any comments either way?
 \\;
(the 96 FXDS is in very good shape, so would have an 80" Evo to sell!)
Personally Id go with the newer one. I looked around alot at used ones and just never felt good about most of them or if I did you could buy a new one for about the same. I just like knowing everything that has been done or has happened to a bike.
I hear ya.
 \\;
Just interesting that the cost would be less for the 1996 ($6k)
and the 96" + 6 speed would be about the same.
 \\;
The new ones would cost more to get up to the kind of hp and torque the 96", or even 107" put out.
 \\;
don't seem to see as many old Dynas as old ST or Baggers.
I went to the dealer yesterday and the prices have not budged if any thing they are higher than when I bought my bike in November. The \\;used market prices \\;should increase due to the price of fuel and the demand for motorcycles . \\; In the last month I have gotten the same question when gasing up how much to fill? and how many miles do you get on a tank? \\;
