had an 06 sb. \\; got smashed up. \\; got 08 sb new today and pre ordered my 1/2 buffalo bars. \\; come to find out harley molded the risers into the triple trees starting in 08. \\; (bull crap if you ask me) does anybody have a sulution to this, or do you know if a 07 triple tree will work, and if they will is there anybody with a set they wanna sell or trade for a new 08 set.
I have a set of trees from a 07 SB. I swapped them out for a wide set-up when the bike had less than 1K miles on it.
So they are next to new, if your intrested I'm sure we could work on a deal.
Smokin'...go ahead and buy the complete set from Suede. True enough you only need the top...but it never hurts to have extra parts, right? Besides, you'd be leaving him with a part that would be next to impossible for him to sell by itself.
I swapped to 07 trees on my 08 so I could change bars. Harley doesn't sell them individually any more either. You have to buy the complete set, upper and lower. And they're PRICEY from the stealer. I gave 100 bucks for mine off of Ebay. Much better than the stealer's 5-600!!!
The MoCo was stupid in going to integrated risers in 08 in my opinion!!
Smokin' tell me your location and I'll figure shipping charges into the price. I'll make you a good deal on the trees. They \\;are just gathering dust in my garage.
