Charging system
The charging system on my 06 Superglide is screwed. Is Harley making cheap foreign sh*t parts these days too? I was coming home from Sioux Falls late Sat night when the battery light came on. Pulled over and shut it off, wouldn't start. Pushed it a few blocks and the next day put in a battery. Made it home and same thing when I got there. Battery light on and will not start. You pay 13 grand for junk these days. Really pisses me off.

By the way, one of the guys' doo rag blew off his head going there and I scooped it up with my left boot at 70 MPH. Then I reached down and grabbed it from my boot. I have a witness. It was pretty funny. \\;\\\\\\;

So if the stators are coming apart isn't HD going to recall them? I thought I heard a really bad noise right before it happened but I thought it was coming from the car next to me. What bullsh*t.
there aren't any recalls about the stator/regulator, but I had the same problem last year, fixed under warranty with a new stator/rotor kit, improved, without bolts. (the bolts had broken and caused the problem)
I can't help but wonder how widespread this problem is with the 06's. You know if you ask someone in the dealer service dept about it, they'll get that blank look \\;on their face \\;as if they've never heard of it.[:@]
