I am looking to get my hands on a 05 later riser set up for the Sporty customs, if anyone has one they would like to part with... Please let me know. Thanks
I have a post over there as well, but now they are telling me that I cant use my speedometer. A friend said the Bucket for the sportster speedo is different then my speedometer, so I might be looking at going another route. I am trying to stay away from rewiring if possible. Thanks for the info
There are several on here that have done it so the speedo will work. You do have to splice in the dummy lights though so if you buy one make sure you get the sporster dummy lights with it.
I think I am going to run with the fatbob risers and \\;bars, if I can find them. I am not sure what dimensions the bars are, and size of the risers. I was just thinking the sportster set up may be alittle less expensive.
I did the setup from a wrecked XL on Ebay on my 06 FXDI. It was all plug and play- no wire splicing and my stock speedo worked fine. It came with the wiring harness for the idiot lighs which I could (and should) have used if I had removed the tank to get to the connector. The stock wires worked but they were tight. I kept my stock bars and the wiring was tight but it worked. If you piece one togeather from the dealer it could get expensive.
