I was chatting with a client today who also owns an HD dealership in Arkansas, and he mentioned that he believes the new Dynas will have the balanced engines similar to the softtails...
I have not heard that, but if its true, I am glad I bought my 06 when I did. Why on earth would you need a counter balancer on a rubber mounted motor? Doesnt make any sense to me.
I wish, but I think it would be bad for the MOCO's buisness. It is only H-D's hottest selling bike and dealers can't seen to keep them on the sales floors.... But I have seen stranger things, you never know.
I just can't see the 'B' motors in the Dyna's just one year after a complete frame redesign. Mounting the balanced engine wou;d be another major frame overhall in 2 years and we know this 'aint HD's style. Just my speculation.
And to drop the Bob? Makes no business sense to me unless is hurting the sales of more pricey bikes in the lineup.

If it's true, I'm glad I bought mine when I did. The "B" motors are nice and surely idle smoothly but it just ain't the same. If I wanted smooth, I'd have bought a V-Rod.
I heard the Bob will continue but the Black Denim may be a limited run only. All rumours of course.
I actually found one dealer in Cheaha (sp?) Alabama who could not sell the Bob. I was shocked as most dealer do not even get tehm out of their crates before selling them. This dealer sold it to another dealer in LA. who went all the way there to pick it up. Seems like that might have beena hint to this dealer to hang onto it. Oh well...Just their loss, and their customers of course. Maybe they need a little sells refresher course if they cannot unload a single copy of HD hottest Scoot. Of course 4 other dealers I visited in Bama could not keep them on the floor. What's up with that?
