Has anyone installed the 11" Harley Shocks on there fxdc? I am looking to install the shorter but dont think I want to give the money for the progressives. I do ride 2up alot so I am not sure if this will work. My wife and I weigh in at a wopping 300lbs. Any suggestions?
 \\;
Thanks
I am not familiar with a pair of shocks Harley makes for Dynas which are 11". \\; The stock FXDC shocks are 12.6" and the Street Bob/ Low Rider shocks are about an 1" lower.
 \\;
I originally put Bob take-off shocks on my 06 FXDI and they worked fine. \\; My wife and I are about 325-350 combined weight. \\;
 \\;
I wanted to go lower, so I eventually went with the Progressive 412 standard duty shocks.
 \\;
Are you and you wife 300 lbs combined or a piece? \\; If 300 lbs each, forget the Progressives and start looking at F150s.
I have the 11" progressives on \\;my 2007 Lowrider. I went with the HD model which is rated for anyone over 200lbs. With \\;me and my wife, we top that.
For me, it probably lowered the bike too much and I will be switching over to the 11 1/2"s sometime soon. The Lowrider is at 12" stock.
Anyways, they made a nice difference in ride comfort in comparison to the stock HD.
