Anybody use HD financing?
Good experience? Bad experience?

I have been considering using the money I have saved to pay of my wife's car instead of putting money down on a bike. If our finances turn south, it would be better to own her car and sell the bike instead of the opposite. This would put my in the position of financing the whole purchase price of the bike and I am wondering what type of experience it is when you finance through Harley Davidson vs. a bank.
 \\;
Thanks in advance.

BTW, new here. New to Harleys. Recent convert from the rice burner religion.

I used them this year on my bike, I thought the rate was high for a used bike but had nothing to compare it to. (10%) My credit is outstanding. The billing tstaement is weak as it only show amount due no brakdown on prinicple and interest or oustanding amount
well - it's associated with HD - so they want to get every dollar they can from you.
most creditors welcome electronic payments rather than employing someone to open envelopes - not HD credit - charge $6 each time if you want to epay.

Its not that bad really..I got 8% with $2500 down...

I set mine up for biweekly automatic payments.... \\;
 \\;
No $6 charge on that.....and you'll save money in the long run because of two extra payments per year alone, but i put a bit more than half of my monthly payment on for each two weeks.
 \\;
**NOTE** If you do it that way, you need to calculate it out so that two payments are recieved before the due date.... \\; WHat i did was bite the bullet and pay the $6 bucks for the first full payment, and then went in and sent \\;up the biweekly right afterwards... that way i knew it would be kosher. \\;

Too, be careful about the \\;way HD's interest compounds. \\; Some (many) loans have monthly compounding interest, HD Credit informed me recently that their interest compounds daily! \\; Makes for a much higher interest sum in the long run.
I used HD financing on a used bike. \\; I put $7000.00 down on the bike and got an 8.6% financing. \\; Have been paying on it for months with no problems or weird compounding interest stuff. \\; What I really liked is that I got my approval within 5 minutes... which made it real nice on getting my deal closed and getting me on my bike sooner than later. \\; Good Luck!
