Anyone who has had their rides dyno-tuned what was the cost and what was your gain? Trying to determine if it's worth it. If Im going to get 3hp and or 3ftlbs increase from tuning and it costs 300 not worth it. if I get +10 then I can justify it.
$250
 \\;
I don't know the gain in numbers, didn't get a pre tune report. \\;
 \\;
I did gain the knowledge that my map is tuned to my bike properly
My dyno cost a little under 300 but what I gained was well worth it. \\; I got what I paid for out of the Rinehart slip ons, SE air cleaner and PCIII. \\; My bike now is faster, smoother in all gears, and runs much cooler. \\; Best money I spent on the bike yet. \\; I figure if I paid all that money for pipes and such I might as well spend a few hundred for the tune to get the full potential out of my aftermarket parts.
The gains would depend on how close your current map is. If your bike runs good and your plugs look good I would wait until all mods are complete before the dyno run. \\;The map in my other bike was on from the start I had little gain on the dyno. It was $300.
If you have done Stage 1 only pipes and air I would not get it done. \\;\\\\\\; The canned maps are as close as any yahoo will get. \\;\\\\\\; \\;\\\\\\;
 \\;
Dom is right... The gains I got came from the pipes, ac \\;and SERT. The tune made only a little difference in performance, if any. And that may be psychological. Can't give you increase in numbers because the numbers came last.
 \\;
Another problem... most tuners are clueless.
