I went 1 inch front and rear.&nbsp\\; Progressive springs in front and progressive 440 shocks in rear &amp\\; love it!&nbsp\\; You'll never have issues only going 1 inch.&nbsp\\; Much more you'll&nbsp\\;start dragging pegs and pipes I would think, but it would look cool slammed!&nbsp\\; Just depends how ridable ya want it.&nbsp\\;&nbsp\\;

Take the shocks apart cut off one and a half inches from the spring reinstall and you will not be dissapointed it will still ride good and look bad ***,dont put sporty shocks it will ride like a brick. its also very easy to cut the front springs as well but only cut one inch.

I cut 3 inches off on my sportster 1200c and it is so slammed no give in the rear but every body tells me how bad *** it looks.On my super glide I only cut one and a half inches and it is killer looking and still rides pretty good.It just depends how you like it.

You can cut the spring with a small air grinder useing a cut off blade,or wheel.It did not cost me but 10 bucks for the cut blade and I lowered 2 bikes for 10 bucks and a little time.&nbsp\\;

Front progressive spring set was about 100.&nbsp\\; Rear progressive 440's were about 350 or so, but you can get cheaper shocks for the rear, I just got those cause my wife got them for me on christmas.&nbsp\\; I think the rears are 11.5 center to center, and ya it's a street bob.&nbsp\\;
