How low can you go without bottoming out and still ride 2 up or with a travel bag on the back?I weigh about 215 I&nbsp\\;see some riders with the Progressive 11." They look great but any wire rubbing or bottoming out?I am trying to decide between the Progressive 430 and the 412.Is the the 430 worth the extra $$ over the 412's.I was looking for a 11.5 length shock.What about Ohlins 36e 305mm what length are they ?thx

 

305mm = 12".

 

305mm is a couple of mm longer than the standard SB shock,,&nbsp\\; have been trying to PM you but it wont let me!!!

 

I dissasymbled my shocks and cut to the length I want and save alot and dont bottom out .I weigh 215 and ride 2 up or carry bags often.

yeah the Ohlins 3mm longer than stock, so the bike rides a bit higher now which i dont like but.....

 

i have made up new mounts, will grind the old ones off and re-weld to take it lower than stock

You do not need to do that. Make up travel limiters which goes inside of the shock. If you know how to take the Ohlins apat than you can do it yourself if not, we are a Ohlins Service center &amp\\; we can make the travel limiters also. You can not se them
