I have my fenders off being prepped and I really don't want to do my tank for a couple of reasons, One it looks good still and two not sure I can find a good gas resistant spray paint.That's why I'm trying to match the "denim"

I was pissed that Krylon killed the semi-flat black! I had to touch up a spot on my rear fender. I ended up getting rusto semi-gloss black. Doesn't match the krylon, but my tank is semi gloss powder coat anyway. I went with powder coat on the tank for durability...but gas eats spots through it worse than paint!!! Can't win.

I decided to go with spray on truck bed liner.It matched the wrinkle black motor and tank console pretty good.I will probably spray the tank with it this winter but for now I just want to ride.

What paint stores forget to tell you is that if you use any kind of automotive 2-part paint or any of the brush paints, the flattening agents evaporate out and the paint is shinier every time you open the can. If you buy a quart of a flattened paint and try to do several little jobs with it, about the third time you open it up it will dry glossy..
